All classes have these experiences, but may do so in a different sequence
Greeting and Meeting Time: Occurs between 7:30AM and 8:30AM to settle the children and help them to successfully separate from home to school. It is critically important that your child does not feel rushed and has time to settle so please be on time.
Large Group Time: A time to build community and relationships through stories, songs and rhymes.
Small Group Time: For the development of early literacy and numeracy and the introduction and practice of skills.
Outdoor Time: A time for outdoor exploration, physical challenge and social negotiation.
Work Time: A time where children choose an interest, plan what they are going to do and carry out their plan.
Arabic Time: Focused Arabic lessons designed to match their age and language level, for both native and non-native speakers.
Physical Time: A planned focus on children’s motor skills development including ‘Brain Gym’.
Farewell Time: A focused farewell for children leaving or transitioning into the afternoon program.
Family Time: A weekly event where older and younger children are together for a particular purpose to build relationships and learn from one another.
Preparing and Tasting Food: A weekly event where children are encouraged to try new foods, experience what is healthy and share and collaborate with one another.
Eating, Resting and Toileting: Care routines form an important part of everyday.
